iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 Untethered Jailbreak Might Be Released Next Week

iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 Untethered Jailbreak Might Be Released next week if everything go as planned. This is the vibes we have been getting of late, especially with the recent tweet made by iH8sn0w on Twitter.

According to info reaching us, the exploits needed to fully jailbreak iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 untethered is available but not totally stable yet for public released but should be in matter of days.

Of course, iOS 7 released yesterday to the world and many would have upgraded to it. Although, the evad3rs team are certain that iOS 7 untethered jailbreak will happen soon enough in coming weeks, yet not so many people want to load the iOS 7 on their devices.

So if you are one of those people that wan to remain with iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4, an untethered jailbreak is closer to you than you might imagine.

Besides, Apple is still signing iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 firmware. It is a good time to quickly backup your SHSH blobs with iFaith locally before its too late.

Backing up your SHSH for iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 gives you the ability to downgrade your firmware in the future in case you got sick of iOS 7. This is mostly useful to iPhone 4 owners.

iPhone 5 Running iOS 6.1.4 Has Been Jailbroken

Few weeks left before Apple releases the latest iteration of the iPhone top the world, that is, iPhone 5S and 5C and something interesting just popped up.

@Winocm, the hacker and coder who tweeted few days back that he had gotten a way to jailbreak both the iPhone 4 and 4S running iOS 6.1.3 just released another pic of an iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4 with Cydia launched and running as seen in the image below. This jailbreak is for both GSM and CDMA iPhone 5

What does this means? This means that someone had succeeded in jailbreaking the iPhone 4, 4S and 5. iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4 is jailbroken. Although we don't know if this jailbreak is tethered or untethered yet.

Of course, many a people who upgraded their devices to iOS 6.1.3 may have given up hope but it seems that hope may be re-kindle again with this.

One problem though even as excited as many may seem is that iOS 7 is almost here and many would want to upgrade to it relatively making this new jailbreak if it goes public less relevant.

However, achieving this feat is outstanding and am sure accolades are already pouring out to him.

Lets hope, the process is made public so that those that still have an onerous attitude towards iOS 7 can remain with iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 and jailbroken.

iOS 6.1.3 Untethered Jailbreak

iOS 6.1.3 Untethered Jailbreak? well, consider the following.

Apple released iOS 6.1.3 to fix minor bugs and also to patch the exploits used by Evasi0n to jailbreak all iDevices running iOS 6. Consequently, many Apple device users who didn't adhere to the warning by hackers and beta testers not to update if they value their untethered jailbreak became victims.
The benefits of an untethered jailbreak on an iDevice can be over emphasized as compared to a non-jailbroken iDevice.
Although there's word that one of the popular hacker Joshua Hill aka P0sixninja is working on a potential jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3, however, it is highly unlikely that a untethered jailbreak is being developed for this minor 6.1.3 update.
According to @Pod2g, "it would be too much efforts for a minimal update. We're waiting for a major release."

However, in another tweet, pod2g stated that he's found another exploit.

In yet another tweet, the popular hacker and programmer Joshua Hill aka p0sixninja have tweeted of his ability to produce the next jailbreak. There's a strong indication that this jailbreak refer to the next iOS 7 and not iOS 6.1.3

This also suggest that brilliant hackers are already working on a potential jailbreak for the next iOS version (iOS 7) as seen in the tweet of pod2g and p0sixninja
From all indications, all hands are on deck to produce the next jailbreak for the next version of iOS and hopefully, we won't have to wait so long before we see it when Apple finally releases iOS 7 come June 2013 along with the new iPhone.

iOS 6.1.3 untethered jailbreak is therefore not coming as seen from the above statements. Furthermore, personally, I think it will be a waste of exploits. Let us wait for the next version of iOS and get a good jailbreak ready.

Stay tune for more developments and news.
