Finally BlackBerry For Android Gets a Released Date

Since the day that CEO of BlackBerry announced that BBM for android and iOS Would be available, the anticipation to have the app running on said devices have grown strongly.

This was made even more obvious when a fake BBM app was released on the Google play store with  100,000 downloads within minutes.

In an interview yesterday,  one of Blackberry official spoke:  Sunil Lalvani, managing director for BlackBerry India, apparently confirmed in an interview with IBN Live that BlackBerry Messenger will launch in the next two months. 

When  asked of the release date he said that BBM for Android would be ready before the end of summer which is before the end of September.

This he said affirming strongly that Blackberry intends to release first for the Android platform and then later for iOS.

This means that our wait time is almost over and we soon have the BBM for android in our hands in less than two months.

Highly Durable Drop-Proof, Water-Proof, Dust-Proof But Cheap Smartphone

Caterpillar, the popular construction company launched a new smartphone on Monday known as the B15 Cat smartphone running 4.1 Android operating system.

This new smartphone is a rugged drop-proof, water-proof and dust-proof smartphone. It can withstand a high degree of day to day punishment especially from site engineers.
Although, this is not the first time we are seeing a rugged smartphone as this for example HTC one, Phillips), yet we can not but say this is at its height.

This smartphone can remain for 30 minutes, one meter below water and still function superbly considering the water pressure on it. It can also withstand a 6ft drop and nothing will happen to it.

Interestingly, this device is relatively thin, slim and light weight with rubberized aluminum finish, meaning there is no need for a pouch. Runs Android 4.1 operating system, 5 mega pixel rear camera with HD recording,  and comes with all the usual stuffs you will get in a smartphone for just $350 (N55,407) without being tied to a contract.

Additionally, the device comes with 2000mAh battery, 1.0 GHz processor with 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM and a SD card slot that can support up to 32GB storage. Supports GPRS/EDGE/2G/3G networks, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, 


There is a probability that smartphones would be made to be more durable than usual in the near future, especially with more manufacturers coming up with highly durable devices with stronger screens like the corning gorilla glass 2 and 3.

More info would be presented here as we get more specifications and features out. However, device is available in Europe for purchase for 300 euros.

Infinix X450 Android Smartphone: Specifications & Features

Infinix X450 is yet another Android smartphone for low income earners just like the Tecno N7 smartphone from Tecno Mobile industry. However, Infinix is a native French company. This device is for  those that want to have a taste of Android but don't want to spend so much.
Although, not so different from Tecno N7 that was released by the Tecno Mobile company, yet this phone will give you that experience you crave.

Infinix X450 is in the league of the Tecno N7, but lighter, slimmer, less wider and with a better camera and resolution. Aside that, which is what in a way, gives it an edge over Tecno N7, its not so different from its counterpart.




With the specifications and features that it comes with coupled with the price, I believe it shouldn't infuriate some die hard specs fan

  • Resolution is still small should have been increased
  • It should have come with at least Android 4.1 Jelly Bean instead of the 4.0.4 ICS
  • Battery life is smaller compared to Tecno N7 although mitigated by the smaller screen siz.
  • Possibility of operating system upgrades are low
 The Pros:
  • Camera is very good compared to the Infinix X350
  • Its light weight
  • Its affordable 
  • Its easily rootable
